David Taylor

David Taylor was born and raised in a small South Carolina town, and has been a South Carolina resident his entire life. In that close-knit community, his incredible parents taught him the value of loving and serving others…a principle which has driven David’s personal life, and which he has carried into his law practice.

David was the first person in his family to ever hold a college degree, and today he has three (3) degrees, including the highest law degree available (LL.M.). He opened his first law firm just a year out of law school in 1999 and has built his practice with a strong work ethic, a passion for helping others, and most importantly, a strong faith in and reliance on the Lord.

When people ask David what he “does”, David immediately answers “I am a father”. David considers being a father to his son as his highest priority on this earth. He is blessed to call his son his best friend, and the duo enjoy traveling and have their unique tradition of spending “Father’s Week” together each year, as both believe a single day is much too short to honor such an important relationship.

David is a diverse man, to say the least. He listens primarily to rap music but also loves Billie Holliday, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, and the like. David has a prize shoe collection, with over 180 pairs of athletic shoes. He even has a “shoe closet” in his home to display all of his kicks.

David is a huge Clemson Tigers fan, having attended games with his mother and father since the age of eight years old, a tradition he now continues with his son. His love of Clemson does not mean that he is close-minded, however, as his beautiful girlfriend is the biggest Gamecocks fan he has ever known, and he loves her dearly.

Gunnar Nistad

Despite his name’s Norwegian roots, Gunnar was born in Detroit and raised in South Carolina. He started earning varsity letters in 8th grade, graduating high school with 13 in football, basketball and baseball. Like his father, this tri-sport athlete went on to play football at Dartmouth – where he not only proved his prowess on the field and in the classroom but attended parties at the fraternity house that inspired the movie Animal House.

Gunnar met his wife at his first job, and remains in awe of her cooking skills to this day. To his credit, he’s developed quite a talent for clearing his plate – even when his schedule is far from empty. In fact, Gunnar earned his MBA from the Citadel at night, while juggling fatherhood and a full-time job as a lawyer.

Gunnar’s daughter now attends Dartmouth, and his son has also grown up to fill Gunnar’s cleats – and can throw twice as far as his dad could when he was high school quarterback. When he’s not coaching Little League sports or high school football, Gunnar enjoys deep sea fishing and listening to music, especially Johnny Cash, the Beatles and U2.

Aaron Edwards

Aaron Edwards hails from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania but he swapped snowy winters for sandy beaches in pursuit of a degree from College of Charleston. The PA transplant decided to put down roots here, next graduating magna cum laude from Charleston School of Law.

The desire to land a career that put him in a position to help people in a meaningful way fueled Aaron along the way – and still does today. Since starting his career over a decade ago, he has handled many complex cases in both state and federal courts and collectively, has helped recover more than $15 million in compensation for clients. But when it comes to serving the community he loves, Aaron is far from finished! He works hard to ensure the legacy he leaves behind is one of service, and that he’s remembered as someone who empathizes with others and does everything in his power to lend a helping hand. .

When he’s not working, Aaron finds the most joy in traveling and spending time with family and friends. He also plays in the Charleston Area Men’s Baseball League, where he puts the skills he acquired as a multi-sport high school athlete to good use. Aaron likes to dabble in woodworking projects and play tennis, too.
